Please be aware of the following policies regarding your California Superbike School Day.
1) All students must be present for the first classroom session. Any student who does not attend may be excluded from the day’s activities, unless an appropriate replacement session can be organised. There will be no refunds or reschedules under any circumstances if this situation arises.
2) All students must ensure they book into the correct school level. All students start with Level One, each level takes one day to complete, and all levels must be completed in sequence. In the event that a student books into the incorrect level, they risk not participating in the school if availability in the correct level is fully booked.
3) The MINIMUM licencing requirements to participate in the California Superbike School is as follows:-
· Eastern Creek Raceway: Learners Permit (issued by the Road Transport Authority within your state / country)
or Competition Licence.
· Phillip Island Circuit: Provisional Licence (issued by the Road Transport Authority within your state / country).
Students must be licenced for the motorcycle being ridden.
Phillip Island Circuit does NOT allow Learner Permits. If a rider presents a learners permit at Phillip Island circuit, they will NOT be able to ride / participate in the booked event and no refunds will be given under any circumstances.
4) The California Superbike School cannot control weather conditions. If it rains we get wet, and if the sun shines we get hot. The California Superbike School accepts no responsibility if the day is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to, extreme weather. In this event there will be no refunds or transfers, however the California Superbike School will endeavor to provide a replacement day at the venue’s discretion. If a rescheduled day is offered, there will be no refunds or transfers from the rescheduled day under any circumstance.
5) Whether participants ride in all or part of your sessions, all students ride at their own risk. All participants should take into account their own riding ability, condition of their equipment and possible track conditions before riding.
6) It is not permitted for any participant to hand over their booking to another student, in part or in full, at any time during the school day.
7) It is not the responsibility of the California Superbike School if a student fails to attend, cannot ride, are unfit to ride, or choose not to ride in all or part of the day. Regardless of the reason (including weather conditions, work requirements, motorcycle problems, family crisis, heath problems etc.) there are no refunds or reschedules either in part or in full.
8) No lap timing devices or any video recording equipment is to be used. In accordance with our track hire agreement, anyone found utlising such devices might forfeit their booking and be asked to leave the venue, jeopardizing their chance of further bookings.
9) California Superbike School strictly prohibit the consumption or use of alcohol and drugs. Any person found consuming or to be affected by alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to ride / participate in their booked event. No refunds will be given under any circumstances, and the perpetrator risks being expelled from the venue and refused participation in any future California Superbike Schoolevents. California Superbike Schoolreserves the right to subject riders to random breath testing and checking for influence of drugs.
It is your responsibility to be in a fit condition to ride on the day. Due to the high concentration requirements, California Superbike Schoolstrongly recommends a good night’s sleep the night before and abstaining from alcohol and drugs (unless prescribed medication is cleared by your physician to participate in this activity).
10) Students may reschedule or cancel their booking, provided more than one weeks (7 days) notice is given prior to the event, less a $25 processing fee per event booked. Within one week (7 days) prior to an event there is absolutely no refund or reschedule. However, California Superbike School will allow a student to transfer a position to another student, providing the student taking the position fits the criteria for the level booked and the day has not started.
11) All participants are responsible for ensuring their motorcycle passes scrutineering and is in a track worthy condition prior to attending the event. Please refer to the scrutineering checklist located on the website:
12) Our minimum riding gear requirements are: Leather jacket & pants that zip together or leather one piece suit (no textile clothing allowed), leather motorcycle gloves (overlapping suit sleeves), full face helmet, and full height leather motorcycle boots that overlap the leather pants (no work boots or runners allowed). Should there be an issue with any of the above, both motorcycles and riding gear can be hired for this event, please contact our office for details.
13) All participants are responsible for ensuring any equipment used during the California Superbike School day is in safe working condition. This includes all wiring and electrical items being compliant with relevant Australia Standards (this may include having leads tested and tagged). Compressors, generators, other tools and equipment must be maintained and in a safe working condition. Participants using electrical items must not use double adaptors. Only power boards fitted with RCD (Residual Current Device) protection may be used. California Superbike School may request equipment be taken out of use if not considered to meet the above standards.
14) All participants are to abide by the Safe Handling of Fuel Guidelines during California Superbike School. Strict guidelines shall be followed with regards to the amount of fuel permitted in garages (20L per rider), the suitability of fuel containers (labeled and Australian Standard compliant) and safe re-fuelling procedures with regard to protecting from spills and ignition sources.
15) Any student who does not agree with the information contained in this policies sheet, or any other information supplied by the California Superbike School, is entitledto a full refund provided they notify California Superbike School within three (3) days of receiving this policies sheet. Any student who exercises this right will be unable to book any further California Superbike Schools. If notice is not received within three (3) days, California Superbike School assumes the student agrees to all policies and information and is prepared to abide the policies, terms and conditions contained therein.
